1) Introduction

Welcome to The Pit; a daily, skill-based one-line arena offered as a mini app inside World App on World Chain.
By accessing or using The Pit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use The Pit.
Important: The Pit is an entertainment product. It is not an investment, savings, staking, gambling, or financial advisory product.
These Terms take effect on 23 November 2025 and apply to the service operated by the provider identified in the Imprint.

World App: Environment in which The Pit operates and settles transfers in WLD.
WLD: A crypto asset used as in-app currency. Its fiat value is volatile.
Creator: Submits short text lines (“drops”): roasts, confessions, wild thoughts, sharp takes.
Voter: Votes on lines. Voting is always free.
Shot / Paid Shot: Submission slots per day (first free; second 0.10 WLD; third 0.40 WLD).
Tip: Voluntary transfer of WLD from a user to a Creator via World App.
Badges / Tiers: Weekly voter status tiers (Pack, Pit Reader, Pit Whisperer, Pit Oracle).
Treasury Wallet: Company-controlled wallet that receives shot-fee revenue.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your country) to use The Pit.
You must meet World App eligibility rules and applicable laws.
World ID verification is handled by World App; wallets alone do not prove personhood.
You are responsible for complying with World App policies.

All economic actions are denominated in WLD and settled on World Chain.
Transactions incur gas; the World App network generally covers those fees for humans, but spikes and network behavior remain outside our control.
WLD’s fiat value fluctuates. Displayed fiat conversions are estimates only.

Up to 3 shots per Creator per day.
Pricing: 1st free, 2nd 0.10 WLD, 3rd 0.40 WLD (subject to change).
Paid shots only unlock extra slots; they do not change voting or exposure.
Shot payments are final, non-refundable fees for digital participation and only count for the round they were purchased for. Unused paid shots expire at the crown; if something breaks and you need an exception, email the operator via thepit.app@proton.me.
100% of shot fees received by the Treasury Wallet are platform revenue.

Tips are direct WLD transfers from a tipper’s wallet to a Creator’s wallet.
We take 0% of tips and do not custody tip funds.
We may display tip totals and store off-chain records for UX, but settlement is user→creator on-chain.

Follow community rules; prohibited content may be removed.
Report illegal or rule-breaking content; we may remove content or restrict accounts.
We may suspend/terminate access to protect users and comply with policies.

You keep ownership of the lines and other content you submit to The Pit (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and display that User Content in order to: run and show The Pit and related products; promote the arena on official channels (for example X).
We do not use User Content to train or fine-tune AI models.
We do not sell your data (such as your wallet address or World ID name) to third parties.
You confirm you have the rights you need for your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

We do not guarantee earnings, outcomes, uptime, or asset values.
The Pit is provided “as is” and “as available”.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
For all other cases, if we are ever found liable, the most we would owe you is whichever amount is higher: the total shot fees you paid us in the previous three months or EUR 50.

We may update these terms for future periods. When we ship a material change, we will announce it in-app (or via another reasonable channel) with the date it takes effect.
If you keep using The Pit after that effective date, it means you accept the new version. If you disagree, stop using the mini app before the change kicks in.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations. You may stop using The Pit at any time.

Governing law: Federal Republic of Germany. Exclusive venue: Stuttgart, Germany courts, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence give you additional rights.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence and may bring claims in your local courts where this is required by law.
